What a screenshot leaves out
I rebuilt a music player to study how it responds when I pause or seek. I needed to use the controls to examine details I could not see in a screenshot.
Pausing
On pause, the cover becomes smaller and dimmer. The playback button changes too, but shrinking and dimming the artwork makes the pause visible across more of the interface. I compared how far the artwork recedes: it still needs to identify the music while making the paused state clear. Resuming restores its size and brightness.
Seeking
Pressing the progress control makes the bar taller and its fill brighter. The feedback starts on contact and continues as the position changes.
The pressed state emphasizes the active control without changing the layout. Releasing it returns the bar to its resting appearance.
Releasing and resuming
I review each action in both directions: pausing and resuming, pressing and releasing. Repeating the sequence lets me judge when the feedback starts and whether it stays connected to the action. I can inspect that full sequence in the rebuild, including the resting layout.
